| Sherab Ling already produces carpets and trains local Indians in the craft of weaving. Trained persons then often choose to take looms to their homes and weave from there. The finished carpets are then sold to a local businessman who, ironically, exports them to Tibet where the craft is all but lost. The craft centre will provide the weavers with a workshop where they can train and work in comfort. |
