The Sculptors

The master sculptors create delicate, intricate, and unique statues, decorative moldings, and creative pieces such as the Lama Dance masks or the snow-lions that guard the stairs to the shrine hall in Palpung Institute.

There are two craftsmen, one who works with the traditional materials of clay and secret mixtures of earth, cloth and medicines. And the other who sculpts from cement producing beautiful works that can withstand the outside extremes of weather & temperature.
